Starting from July 2021, Speaking Scottish has held Open Meetings approximately once every two months, typically on the fourth Saturday of the month. Meetings are currently held online via Zoom.

These meetings are a way of sharing updates and ideas related to the Speaking Scottish project, as well as to discuss its future direction.

What Happens at Meetings?

Typically, meetings will involve an update from the Speaking Scottish team about recent activities and upcoming plans. We also aim to give plenty of time for discussion and feedback from all attendees. However, if you would rather listen more than talk, you are still more than welcome!

As meetings are typically 1hr 30mins long, we include a scheduled break halfway through.

Find Out More: Explore the Public Archive

To find out more about Speaking Scottish Open Meetings, please follow this link, which will take you to our Public Archive.

The Public Archive is an open access Google Drive folder where you can access slides and notes from previous meetings. We provide this open archive partly for transparency, but also to give a resource through which anyone interested in the project can get a feel for what is discussed in meetings and catch up on any meetings they have missed.

If you have questions about Open Meetings or anything else to do with Speaking Scottish, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
