Greetings!

Since officially launching last month, we’ve been keeping busy working on the website and our learning resources. Here is a wee update to give you an idea of what we’ve been up to.

New & Updated Learning Materials

On top of revealing a brand new Weather Starter Pack (complete with a top secret “gonnae no say that” section 🤫), we have updated some of our existing resources with audio examples of real life pronounciations. Check them out here and here.

If you’d be keen to add your voice to the (so far limited!) mix, have a peek at our blog to find out how. In particular, we’re looking for people who would be up for recording conversations together – maybe a fun activity to try with a friend or family member?

External Resources – Books, Podcasts & More

As part of our learning resources, we are providing an ‘External Resources’ section where we introduce some Scottish books, podcasts, music and more. If you have a favourite resource you’d like to recommend – something that either contains Scottish language or depicts life in Scotland – let us know! All we ask is for no Braveheart 😉

New Blog Content

Next month, we are hoping to have more content coming to the blog, including the start of a series highlighting the experiences of those who have moved to Scotland from elsewhere in the world. If you would like to share your experience, or you know someone else who would, feel free to get in touch!

Keep Up to Date

That’s pretty much everything for this month. Huge thanks to all of you who have been in touch to help provide audio, build new learning resources and develop our blog! For those who have been thinking about it, don’t forget to pop on over to our Get Involved page.

The best way to keep up to date about what we’re up to is to follow us on social media. Until next month, all the best and fingers crossed for some sunny weeks ahead!

Elly & Thomas
